The Islington Advice Alliance brings together the three main advice agencies in the borough who work with residents from all communities, and the first map gives details of their location, contact details and website.
There are also a number of outreach sessions in the borough run by advice agencies in a range of community host venues, and offering free initial help and advice, but also casework where needed. The second map shows the geographical location, the area of law covered, who delivers the session, which agency hosts the session, contact details for booking an appointment and whether there are any restrictions on eligibility. For example, for the sessions held in London Borough of Islington Housing Offices, clients need to be a tenant or leaseholder of a Council or Partners for Improvement property.
It should be noted that all of the sessions listed work on an appointment basis, rather than drop in, and some operate a waiting list system.
All sessions are run by independent advice agencies, and are free of charge for service users. Clients can self refer.
